Inspired by Vintage Travel
The cover's typography mirrors the style of old travel posters, featuring an arched title treatment reminiscent of hand-drawn designs from the era.
On the front cover, I designed a rounded-corner rectangle with four distinct sections, each showcasing a key setting from the story.
Big Ben represents the journey's start in London, followed by an elephant for India, a pagoda for the Asian leg and a bridge scene symbolizing America.
Carrying the Story Through
The back cover continues the same visual system, using the rounded shape as a solid field to house the book description.
Additional silhouettes reference locations from the journey, allowing the front and back covers to feel connected while still serving different purposes.
